Reroll Your Clan
Use your free spins to try for a better clan. Aim for at least Grade 1 (Fushiguro, Abe, Okkotsu, Kamo) or Special Grade (Gojo, Geto, Zen'in) if you're lucky!
Complete the Tutorial

Find Quest NPCs
Look for NPCs with quest markers. Start with Fetch and Exercise quests appropriate for your level. These give you XP and Yen.
Invest in Your Skill Tree
Open your skill tree (press M for menu) and start investing points. We recommend starting with Sorcery for technique damage.
Controls & Keybinds
Master these controls to dominate in combat. The game uses a combination of keyboard and mouse inputs.
| Key | Action | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| LMB | Attack / Strike | Basic melee attack combo |
| Q | Dash | Quick dodge in movement direction |
| E | Super Dash | Longer dash, uses more stamina |
| F | Block | Hold to block incoming attacks |
| CTRL | Shift Lock | Lock camera behind character |
| MMB | Lock-On Target | Focus camera on enemy |
| M | Open Map | View world map and locations |
| 1-5 | Cursed Techniques | Use your equipped technique abilities |
| R | Special Ability | Varies by technique |
| X | Ultimate / Domain | Requires full cursed energy |
| C | Utility Ability | Varies by technique |
Use Shift Lock (CTRL) during combat for better camera control and more accurate attacks. It makes dodging and attacking much easier!
Combat System
Jujutsu Zero uses a skill-based combat system where timing and positioning matter. Here's what you need to know:
Parry Mechanics
Parrying is the most important combat skill to master. When an enemy attacks, you'll see a circle indicator closing in. Block (F) right as the circle nearly closes to perform a perfect parry. This will:
- Completely negate the incoming damage
- Stagger the enemy briefly
- Deal bonus counter-damage
- Build your cursed energy faster
Blocking without timing it correctly will still reduce damage, but you'll take chip damage and won't get the parry benefits. Practice your timing!
Basic Combat Flow
- Approach - Use dash (Q) to close distance
- Combo - Chain LMB attacks together
- Technique - Weave in technique abilities (1-5)
- Dodge/Parry - React to enemy attacks
- Punish - Attack during enemy recovery
Cursed Energy Management
Your techniques consume cursed energy. It regenerates over time and from landing attacks. Don't spam all your abilities at once - pace yourself and save energy for clutch moments or when enemies are vulnerable.
Progression & Leveling
Leveling up in Jujutsu Zero involves completing quests, defeating enemies, and earning experience.
Quest Types
- Fetch Quests - Collect items from the world. Easy XP for new players.
- Exercise Quests - Defeat specific numbers of enemies. Main source of combat XP.
- Story Quests - Progress the narrative and unlock new areas.
- Boss Quests - Challenge powerful enemies for big rewards.
Efficient Leveling Tips
- Always pick up quests appropriate for your level
- Complete multiple quests in the same area simultaneously
- Don't fight enemies way above your level - it's inefficient
- Group up with other players for faster clears
- Use your technique abilities - they grant bonus mastery XP
At Level 149, you can rank up by paying 25,000 Yen. This is a major milestone that unlocks new content and abilities!
Skill Tree Guide
The skill tree has three branches. You earn skill points as you level up. Here's what each branch does:
Recommended Build Path (Early Game)
- Vitality: Double Jump - Unlock this first for mobility
- Sorcery: Core Nodes - Invest heavily for technique damage
- Vitality: Stamina - More dashes and blocks
- Offense: Later - Once your techniques are strong
You can reset your skill tree later in the game, so don't worry too much about making mistakes. Experiment and find what works for your playstyle!
